About HELLO PEOPLE
We are a small Perth team that builds software, AI and integrations for Australian businesses. Most of our work starts where a spreadsheet, a workaround or an old system stopped keeping up with how the business actually operates.
Who We Are
We are a Perth software company. We build the systems Australian businesses run on, and more often than not we are fixing or replacing something that is already there rather than starting from nothing.
People usually call us at one of three moments. The spreadsheet that ran a process for years has stopped coping. Two systems that were supposed to talk to each other have quietly stopped agreeing. Or the person who built the thing has left, and nobody else can change it.
More than 100 projects sit behind that, across mining and field operations, healthcare, professional services, hospitality and trades. The pattern that repeats is not technical. It is that the software was scoped around how somebody thought the work happened, not how it actually happens, and the gap turns into manual effort that nobody ever writes down.
So we start by watching the work. Then we build around the constraints you cannot change, connect it to what you already run, and hand it over with the source code in your name.

Full ownership on handover, with no licensing lock-in and no arrangement where leaving us means starting again.
A written quote inside 48 hours
A short scoping call, then a quote in writing within two business days. If we are not right for it, that is what the reply says.
Phased delivery, so you see it early
Working software in front of you during the build, not a reveal at the end when changing anything is expensive.
Thirty days of support included
Standard on every project, with ongoing maintenance and monitoring available after that if the system warrants it.

Nothing subcontracted overseas. The person who scopes your project is the person you can call about it afterwards.
About the Founder
Kasun started HELLO PEOPLE in 2007 after an early career in accounting, which is why most conversations here begin with the numbers rather than the technology. He scopes the work, and on most projects he writes some of it.
He is a postgraduate researcher at Curtin University in artificial intelligence and retrieval-augmented generation, which is the technique behind getting an AI system to answer from your own documents rather than from whatever it has absorbed.

We are based in Perth and work with businesses in every state. Roughly half of what we build now has an AI component in it somewhere, usually reading documents, answering questions from a company's own records, or removing a step somebody was doing by hand. The rest is the same work we have always done, which is making systems talk to each other properly.
